The neighbor's large pine tree had fallen, pulling the power line with it. Lucky for them it fell right along side their house (there was another house in the neighborhood that lost their entire roof because they weren't so lucky). But it left wires dangling across the street, which eventually ended up on the Lewis' lawn. All in all the day wasn't all that bad, but come evening the humidity was seeping into the house and made it somewhat an uncomfortable sleep.
The Lewis' street wasn't the only one out of power as the storm had even knocked out Super Walmart, Sam's Club and several stop lights weren't even flashing. It was heard of several friends that were here and there and out of power. Which meant it was expected that the Lewis' street wasn't going to be the top priority. Needless to say as utility trucks pulled up Thurs throughout the day the neighborhood would come out in anticipation of having the power come back on....Then the same thing Friday morning....
it wasn't until 9:30am Friday that the power came back on! Just in time since a little storm hit 15 min later and the humidity that day was awful! Ahh, good old air conditioning!

Wow, what an adventure! I'm glad your power was restored. Kind of makes you appreciate it, huh?
I bet that was an adventure trying to come up with food to eat. Were you freezer and fridge okay? Tiffany
You guys are better troopers than we are--when the A/C has gone out, we have vacated the premises. Glad to hear it wasn't too bad and that that tree didn't end up through your roof!
