B welcomed the dismissal of diapers! Although the first 48 hours involved much laundry and arguing over sitting on the potty. J was convinced he wasn't ready, but a friend encouraged her to give it a full week first. After the first day she figured if she made it for 3 it would be good enough to take a break. He knew how to hold it, just not to let it go. He'd get so mad when he couldn't hold it any longer, feeling like he'd failed. But he's now learned the trick and realizes you can't hold it forever. Whew!
